Trust and security
When someone reaches out about their mental health, they share their most personal information. Over 88,000 organisations trust Wisdom Wellbeing to protect it. Here we explain how we keep your people's data confidential, secure and private.

Confidential by design
Trust is at the heart of everything we do. Employees will only use support they believe is private, so confidentiality isn't an add-on. It's built into how our services work.
Employers never see what individual employees discuss with our counsellors or do in the Wisdom app. Where clients receive usage reporting, it's anonymised so no individual can be identified.

How we protect your data
- UK hosting:Wisdom App data is hosted in the UK on Microsoft Azure
- Encryption:data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher)
- Protected passwords:passwords are hashed, never stored in readable form
- Protected personal data: personal data is obfuscated, so it can't be read even by people with database access

Your data and where it's held
We store data in secure UK data centres and handle it in line with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and local data protection laws. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
If a data breach ever occurs, we'll notify affected clients without undue delay and, where required, report it to the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
